Gateway LT4004u 10.1-Inch Netbook

Gateway LT4004u 10.1-Inch Netbook
Editor Rating: Good (7.00)
7 out of10

Pros

The battery is good and will power the netbook for up to eight hours (closer to four if you are watching movies). Unlike the previous generation, this gateway netbook has a HDMI port. Finally, its lightweight design makes it one of the most portable netbooks on the market today.

Cons

The Gateway LT4004u’s memory can be upgraded to 2 GB, but there is only one slot on the unit, meaning you will have to buy a 2 GB stick and throw out the original 1 GB. Also, it’s somewhat necessary to upgrade the memory if you want to be able to do this without worry; multitasking is quite frustrating with only 1 GB of RAM. Finally, this model also lacks Bluetooth, so you will be relegated to transferring files through the memory card slots and USB.
